European Park
Europos Parkas (Europe Park) is a unique open-air sculpture museum located about 26 km from Vilnius, near the geographical centre of Europe. Founded in 1991 by sculptor Gintaras Karosas, it today displays more than 100 sculptures and installations by internationally recognised artists from over 30 countries. The park's centrepieces include a monumental Salvador Dalí sculpture and Karosas's own installation "LNK Infotree" – a striking arrangement of 3,000 television sets in a forest clearing. Sculptures scattered throughout the park interact with the natural landscape, turning a visit into a unique forest walk. Autumn and winter bring their own special moods. The park is suitable for families with children – there are ample spaces for play and exploration. The setting includes ponds, forests and meadows. On-site facilities include a café and souvenir shop. A wonderful day out combining art and nature, it is one of the more unique open-air art parks in the world.
