Liepkalnio Water Storage
Liepkalnio Water Storage is an unusual and little-known Vilnius attraction, forming part of the Energy and Technology Museum (ETM) complex. It is a historic 19th-century water reservoir – an engineering achievement that today gives visitors the chance to see authentic 19th- and 20th-century Vilnius water supply infrastructure. The reservoir retains its original engineering installations: brick-vaulted chambers, water pipes, pump rooms and filter basins. The site offers a unique opportunity to immerse oneself in the city's industrial history and understand how Vilnius received its water supply before modern infrastructure. It is a popular destination for photographers and history enthusiasts. The storage is open on Sundays only from 10 am to 5:30 pm and is located on Liepkalnio Street in the Naujininkai district. A valuable alternative to the main museums – unconventional, informative and a truly original Vilnius experience.
