Radvila Palace Art Museum

The Radvila Palace Art Museum is one of the most distinguished cultural venues in Vilnius Old Town, housed in a 17th-century Baroque palace on Vilniaus Street. The building is a tangible remnant of the Radvila (Radziwiłł) dynasty – one of the most powerful noble families in the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. The museum operates as a branch of the Lithuanian National Art Museum and holds an exceptional collection of European graphic art – over 2,000 works including engravings, etchings, and drawings by masters such as Dürer, Rembrandt, and Rubens, spanning the 16th to 20th centuries. It is one of the finest graphic art collections in the Baltic states. The palace sits close to Vilnius University and Castle Street , making it an easy addition to any Old Town walk. Palace of the Grand Dukes and Vilnius Cathedral are also nearby, so the Radvila Palace fits naturally into a half-day cultural itinerary. The museum is especially rewarding for visitors interested in European printmaking and Baroque-era art history. Exhibitions are displayed in the palace's historic halls, whose architecture – high ceilings, thick walls, intimate salon-style rooms – forms a backdrop that enhances the artworks on display. A paid but affordable admission makes this an accessible cultural highlight of central Vilnius.
