Tymo Market
Tymo Market – Vilnius' most authentic weekend ritual – sets up every Saturday near Užupis Street. Here farmers, craftspeople, and small producers come directly with their goods: fresh vegetables and fruit, homemade cheese and dairy products, natural cosmetics, handmade ceramics, and seasonal jars of jam and chutney. What's on Sale Tymo Market is not a supermarket. Every seller is also a producer: farmers from Dzūkija and Žemaitija bring freshly harvested produce, cooks offer homemade food preparations, beekeepers sell natural honey and beeswax products. You can find organic vegetables, free-range eggs, traditional Lithuanian smoked cheese, herbal teas, seasonal flower bouquets, handmade souvenirs, linen goods, and natural cosmetics made from local plants. The Užupis Context The market is set in the Užupis district – Vilnius' most bohemian and distinctive quarter, which calls itself an independent republic. A Saturday morning at Tymo Market is a natural Užupis experience: unhurried strolling between stalls, chatting with a farmer, freshly pressed apple juice. After the market, walk the streets of Užupis, see the famous Užupis Angel and the plaques of the Užupis Constitution. Practical Information The market runs every Saturday morning until midday (approximately 8:00–14:00). Entry is free. Arriving early is recommended – the most popular produce sells out within the first hours.
