Where to stay in Vilnius so your morning starts where it needs to

By VisitVilnius.lt editorial team5 min read

Where to stay in Vilnius in 2026 depending on the situation: a weekend in the Old Town, an early flight, arrival by train, business meetings, and a longer stay.

Choose your base around the trip you are planning: Old Town for central walks, the station area for rail arrivals, or the airport for an early flight. First decide where you need to be in the morning, then compare rooms. Availability, prices, parking and check-in conditions change; confirm the full cost for your dates with the property.

When you have one weekend for Vilnius

For a weekend centred on Old Town, Hotel PACAI at Didžioji g. 7 is one option near Town Hall Square. Compare its actual room categories and rate conditions on the official site. The old July price sample is not a current offer; no fixed room price is used here.

Neringa Hotel, Gedimino pr. 23, is an option for a programme around Gediminas Avenue, Lukiškės Square or the opera house. Compare current room availability and the total rate on the operator’s site, rather than use an undated summer price range.

Don't book an Old Town room based solely on a photo. Check whether the windows face the street or an inner courtyard, whether there is an elevator in the building, or if there are stairs remaining to the room. When traveling with a stroller or heavy luggage, the character of a historic building can mean an inconvenient route to the bed.

When the plane takes off before breakfast

AIRINN Vilnius Airport Hotel, Rodūnios kelias 8, is worth considering for an early flight. The operator describes a one-minute walk to the arrivals terminal and two minutes to departures. These are approximate operator estimates, not a boarding-time allowance. Confirm your terminal, late arrival and the rate’s check-in conditions before booking.

For several days spent exploring Vilnius, compare the daily trip from an airport hotel with staying in the city. Moving for the final night may suit an early flight, but is not necessary for every family or traveller with checked baggage. For routes and current timetable links, use the Vilnius Airport travel guide; do not assume trains run all night.

When you arrive by train or bus

Panorama Hotel is close to the station area. The operator’s current site gives the address Seinų g. 4, not the old Sodų g. 14 shown in this guide. Check the route to the entrance and your arrival conditions. It can be a base for a short stop combining the station area with Old Town, without relying on a historical room-price example.

Comfort Hotel LT, Kauno g. 14, is a Naujamiestis option for a stay near the station area rather than directly opposite the station square. Use the official property page for rooms and contact details. Confirm the walking route, parking availability, pet policy and any fees for your booking; the earlier distance and seller-derived fee figures are not guarantees.

When arriving after midnight, it is essential to check not only the 24-hour reception but also the late arrival conditions for your specific rate. Self-service apartments may require a pre-received door code and identity verification. Do not postpone reading these messages until you are standing in front of locked doors.

When the first meeting takes place on the right bank of the Neris

For meetings around Konstitucijos Avenue and Europa Square, consider Radisson Blu Hotel Lietuva, Konstitucijos pr. 20. The official page lists check-in at 15:00 and check-out at 12:00. Confirm the conditions of your chosen rate; an old July quote does not establish a current room price.

Radisson’s official page describes indoor and outdoor parking through a partner near the hotel entrance. Check the current parking operator, entrance, available spaces and overnight rate with the hotel. A nearby private car park need not follow municipal street tariffs, and parking is not automatically included in the room price.

For conference participants, the exact event address is more important than "city center" written in the hotel description. "LITEXPO" is at Laisvės pr. 5, not on Konstitucijos Avenue. If the event takes place there, calculate the route separately, as a hotel in the business district will not necessarily be next to the exhibition center.

When you bring a car

For municipal street parking, consult JUDU’s zone map and tariffs. Checked on 5 October 2026: the blue zone is charged 24/7 at €3.50 for the first hour and €4 for each subsequent hour; the red zone is €2.50/hour Monday–Saturday, 08:00–22:00. Check the actual sign and zone; these rates do not apply to every private hotel lot.

Hotel parking is a separate comparison. Neringa’s official page lists a limited-capacity garage; PACAI and Comfort set their own parking arrangements. Ask for the exact space, reservation requirement and total charge for your dates. Before choosing a non-refundable room, obtain confirmation if parking is essential; do not assume a published parking option reserves a space.

If you won't be using the car in the city, compare accommodation with free parking on the outskirts of the center with two ride-sharing trips. On a weekend, leaving the car in the hotel garage and exploring the Old Town on foot is often simpler than looking for a new spot every few hours.

When you stay for four nights or longer

For a longer stay, compare HOME Apart-Hotel Vilnius, A. Vivulskio g. 12B. Its current site describes a shared 24/7 kitchen, laundry/drying services and free parking. Room and apartment facilities differ: check whether your category has a private kitchenette and whether services carry extra fees. Compare the full rate for your dates rather than an old online price range.

In apartments, check four things: whether the kitchen is in the room or shared, whether final cleaning is included in the price, on which floor the accommodation is, and whether the elevator works. The phrase "laundry facility" might mean a paid shared laundry room, not a washing machine in the apartment.

When to book and what amount to add

There is no universal number of weeks that guarantees availability or the lowest price. Check live options for your dates, especially during major events or when you need a family room, accessible room or reserved parking. A non-refundable rate is only a sensible choice if you understand the cancellation risk and your trip is sufficiently confirmed.

Vilnius’s official city-tax guidance states €2 per person per night, with exemptions including under-18s and older school pupils with proof; consult the full list for other cases. Booking.com collects it for new bookings made from 15 June 2026 at 12:00; earlier bookings follow the previous process. Check your confirmation to avoid adding an already collected amount. Compare identical occupancy, breakfast, cancellation and final-tax conditions, plus parking, pet fees and late check-out. Sources checked on 5 October 2026.
