GAIL ARCHER (organ, USA) An artist with an impressive international musical career, organist at Vassar College, director of the music program at Barnard College at Columbia University, and founder of Musforum, a network for women organists. This tireless, incredibly charming, and charismatic personality is Gail Archer. The artist is highly acclaimed for her conceptual concert programs, which draw attention to significant themes and historical music contexts. This time, alongside monumental Baroque works and Romantic music, an unexpected direction unfolds – works by Bulgarian composers, which are rarely heard in our concert halls. The music of Radosveta Hurkova, Bozhidar Abrashev, and Evgeny Tcheshmedjiev brings folklore-inspired, contemporary, and unexpected touches to the program.
