Vilnius International Carillon Festival 2026 This year, the Vilnius International Carillon Festival celebrates its 10th anniversary. The anniversary programme features five free concerts by some of the world's most prominent carillonneurs from Japan, the USA, South Korea, Belgium, and Ukraine. The festival takes place at the Vilnius Carillon, installed in the belfry of the Church of St. Philip and St. James. It is the largest concert carillon in Central Europe, consisting of 61 bells. Carillon music does not separate the stage from the city – it resonates in the churchyard, Lukiškės Square, surrounding buildings, and the city streets. 1 July, 19:00 Toru Takao (Japan) "Sound Through Time" In the festival's opening concert, Toru Takao will invite you on a musical journey through eras and cultures. The programme will bring together works by Mozart and Schumann, Brazilian rhythms, contemporary compositions from Japan, and love songs from different corners of the world. 8 July, 19:00 Joseph Min (USA) "Dance in the Wind" Joseph Min, winner of the 2024 Queen Fabiola International Carillon Competition, will present a modern and emotional programme. It will feature film music, contemporary compositions, and well-known pieces such as "Colors of the Wind", "Dos Oruguitas", and "Starry, Starry Night". 14 July, 19:00 IN KAUNAS 15 July, 19:00 IN VILNIUS Minjin Oh and Kiru Shin (South Korea) "Opera Over Lithuania" For the first time in this year's festival, the carillon will be played four-handed. The programme includes the most famous opera melodies: Mozart's "The Magic Flute", Verdi's "La Traviata", "Aida", and "Nabucco", Wagner's "Tannhäuser", Gounod's "Romeo and Juliet", and Vytautas Klova's opera "Pilėnai". 22 July, 19:00</stron
