Vox organi Cathedralis 2026. MONA HARTMANN

"Vox organi Cathedralis" (lit. "The Voice of the Cathedral Organ") is an organ music festival held at Vilnius Archcathedral Basilica since 2017. Celebrating the festival's tenth anniversary, this year the organs of Vilnius Archcathedral will speak with the voices of cathedral organs from across Europe. From 14 June to 20 September, musical dedications will resonate to cathedrals in Austria, the Czech Republic, Great Britain, Italy, Spain, Latvia, France and Germany. 6 August 2026 at 12:00 Dedication to Salzburg Cathedral Organist: MONA HARTMANN (Germany) Programme: Georg Muffat, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. ***** Mona Hartmann completed her Master's studies at the Detmold (Germany) University of Music (class of Prof. Martin Sander). In 2023 she was awarded a doctorate with distinction from the Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy College of Music and Theatre in Leipzig (class of Prof. Martin Schmeding). She has won numerous international competitions, including first prize at the International M. K. Ciurlionis Organists' Competition in Vilnius, prizes in St Albans (England), St Maurice (Switzerland), Boston (USA), the Bachpreis Wiesbaden (Germany), Northern Ireland and others. She concertises across Europe and the USA, having performed in major German churches, the Mozarteum Salzburg, the cathedrals of Riga, Tallinn and Vilnius, Westminster Abbey, St Paul's Cathedral in London, St Thomas's Church on Fifth Avenue in New York, and venues in Spain and Poland. In 2022 she made her debut at Leipzig's Gewandhaus performing Thierry Escaich's concerto for organ and symphony orchestra. She has served as organist at Bad Driburg church and St John's Church in Bremen, taught organ at the Herford Church Music College in Germany, and was Director of Church Music for the Diocese of Linz (Austria). Since 2025 she has been Professor of Organ at the Witten College of Church Music.
