Kalvarijų Market
Kalvarijų Market (Kalvarijų turgus) is one of the largest and most authentic markets in Vilnius, operating for generations and retaining much of its traditional character. Located in the northern part of the city on Kalvarijų Street, it is popular with local shoppers and visitors seeking a genuine Vilnius experience. The market offers a wide range of goods: fresh vegetables, fruits and berries direct from farmers, dairy products, meat and fish, herbs and spices, handicrafts and second-hand stalls. Prices are generally lower than in shops and the produce is often fresher and locally grown. The market is particularly lively on Saturdays when the most vendors gather. Open Tuesday to Sunday from 7 am to 5 pm. This is a real place to experience everyday Vilnius life – no tourist gloss, just the living pulse of the city. The Vilnius Botanical Garden is nearby.
